Up until very recently he had been attending signing events with other members of The Poseidon Adventure cast and will be much missed by Irwin Allen and movie fandom. |

STAN JOLLEYArt Director and Production Designer Stan Jolley passed away on 4th June 2012 aged 86 leaving a long legacy of creativity, particularly in several Irwin Allen productions. Not only did he work regularly on shows such as Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and Land of the Giants, but also major movies such as The Swarm. |

THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE BLU-RAY RELEASEIn this 40th anniversary year for Irwin Allen's award winning The Poseidon Adventure, we see this outstanding movie being released on Blu-Ray in the US, France and Germany. In the US, the Blu-Ray version is being released as a Walmart Exclusive. It features the same extras that appeared in the special edition DVD set. |

Prominent Irwin Allen television guest, Warren Stevens, has sadly passed away at the age of 92 (27th March 2012). He guest starred in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Time Tunnel and Land of the Giants, as well as The Return of Captain Nemo. |

LINDA PURL IN HOMELANDLinda Purl, star of the 1986 television movie Outrage, appears in the new drama series of Homeland as Elizabeth Gaines. |

ROBERT EASTON
Actor and dialect coach Robert Easton died on 16th December 2011 at the age of 81. Irwin Allen fans will know him best as Sparks in the 1961 movie version of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. |

LEONARD STONE
Actor Leonard Stone passed away on Wednesday 2nd November. He had a long association with the Irwin Allen television series with popular roles in shows such as Lost in Space and Land of the Giants. |

Seattle Science Fiction Hall of FameWe hear that the Seattle Science Fiction Hall of Fame is currently undergoing renovation and that none of the Irwin Allen or sci-fi TV/movie exhibits are on show at the moment apart from temporary Battlestar Galactica and Avatar exhibitions. So don’t make the trip up to Seattle to see the Irwin Allen items at the present time. Their web site says the renovation work continues until the summer of 2012, and we do not know what will be on show after that. If we hear any further news we will post details on our sites. |
