Collectible Time Tunnel cards produced by Funfax in 1994. Part of a larger collection of cards featuring several other TV shows. On the back of these cards, they are described as "An Educational Guide for Viewers".
The back of the card reads as follows:
The Time Tunnel (1966-1967) Prologue: "Two American scientists are lost in the swirling maze of past and future ages during the first experiments in America's greatest and most secret project: the Time Tunnel. Tony Newman and Doug Phillips now tumble helplessly toward a new, fantastic adventure somewhere along the infinite corridors of time..."
The Time Tunnel was an interesting time travel adventure. Producer Irwin Allen adapted H.G. Wells' The Time Machine but used two modern day scientists as protagonists. Every week they went from one tragic historic event to another, but never seemed capable of changing the outcome no matter how they tried. Sometimes they arrived in the distant future and confronted aliens and other threats. The series lasted only 30 episodes, but in the final installment, the two scientists wound up exactly where they began: on the deck of the Titanic.
