Moebius Models Seaview Build 3

This is the Moebius 1/128th scale Seaview Submarine model from the 60's Irwin Allen TV series "Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea". Pro built, this model shows absolutely meticulous craftsmanship and attention to every detail. This seamless and beautifully detailed model took 80+ hours over a span of 3 months. The model is finished in Intermediate Blue on the upper hull, and Camouflage Gray enamel on the underside. I've replaced the original front windows (which have optical distortion) with my own custom made, optically clear/distortion free windows, which allow you to easily see into the control room. I fabricated an additional 29 parts, (no "aftermarket" parts were used), including two additional girders in the control room, and a translucent white ceiling panel. 18 x 9 Volt, 100K hour rated LEDs were used, plus 4 more inside the Flying Sub! All the internal control room parts were detailed in enamel, and Paragrafix brand decals were applied. I've designed a custom display base, featuring a laser etched nameplate which reads "THE N. I. M. R. / S.S.R.N. SEAVIEW". The display base was designed to allow the sub to be displayed pointing to the left or to the right.
