Dr. Smith Seeing Eye Pendant
Dr. Smith "seeing eye" pendant necklace from Lost in Space (CBS-TV, 1965-68). Working battery-operated "seeing eye" pendant, 6 in. diameter, painted gold with a white transparency in the center. Small microswitch on the bottom activates the backlit eye. This prop can be seen clearly in the Lost iti Space episode "Cave of the Wizards", and comes with an 8 in. x 10 in. signed photograph of Jonathan Harris, as well as a typed letter signed by Harris, dated January 17,1967, in which he donates the piece to the Treasure Island Odditorium in Denton,Texas: "I am sending you a 'memento' of my part as 'Dr. Smith' in 'Lost in Space'. It is a magic pendant which I have worn in the show. Please note that the 'Eye' lights up and blinks (the switch is on the bottom of the pendant and the back is so constructed that the batteries may be changed when necessary)..." An excellent piece with fantastic provenance.
