Original Robot Molds
Original 20th Century Fox Studio Torso, Leg & Arm Molds used to Create the B-9 Robot from Lost in Space (CBS TV, 1965-1968). Obtained from master prop and model builder Greg Jein by producer Kevin Burns, these are the original 20th Century Fox molds that were used to create the Lost in Space hero Robot in the mid-1960s. Each is crafted of plaster with wooden supports. The torso mold is in two separate halves which key together (each half measures approximately 31" x 24" x 21"); the leg mold is one-piece measuring approximately 28" x 28" x 23"; the arm mold is in two halves keyed together and measures 27" x 1" x 11". Also includes four wooden collar and vent molds used for bending the clear acrylic rods, measuring 13" x 7" x 1"; 12.5" x 6" x 2"; 10" x 8" x 1"; 8" x 11.5" x 1". Exhibits production wear and expected age. Some of the wood supports are loose, detached or missing. Plaster exhibits chipping, cracks and some components are loose. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
