Hero B-9 Robot Brain and Miscellaneous Robot Parts from Lost in Space (CBS, 1965-1968). Vintage original B-9 Robot hero brain constructed of metal formed in a 11" x 10" x 2.25" triangular shape with cut-out hieroglyphs on the outer perimeter with front eye lenses and internal wiring with incandescent light bulbs for illumination (electronics untested). Included are two bladed aluminum "crown" elements (each measuring 7" diameter) that would mount on top of the brain, and the finger light rod assembly (measuring 9" x 2.5") upon which the brain was mounted. Included with the lot are other Robot components including two 12" x 12" translucent plastic back panels for the neon "mouth", three 8.5" x 5" acrylic torso vents, and a single wooden disc (8" x 2.25") that fit within a claw cuff for the stunt robot. A prominent character in the show, the beloved Robot was designed by Robert Kinoshita (who also designed the iconic Robby the Robot from Forbidden Planet). The Robot possessed futuristic weaponry, superhuman strength and displayed human characteristics, including laughter, sadness and mockery (its voice was dubbed by Dick Tufeld).
