Pilot Blueprint and Schematic Archive

Monumental archive of manuscript and blueprint prop and set design schematics and elevations for the proposed Pilot episode, plus subsequent major revamping to include the Robot and other future-forward technology from Lost in Space (TCF-TV, 1964-65). Proposed Pilot episode, filmed but never aired as shot, as entitled "Space Family Robinson", comprised of (25+) pencil, marker and India ink manuscript original designs on vellum tissue and hand-detailed blueprint/brownline paper, dated 12/1964 to 01/1965, including specifics for "Chariot", "Interior/Exterior Spaceship", "Communications Center", "Equatorial Jungle", "Spaceship Crash Miniature", and more. Also includes (5) blueprint and brownline transfers of some, plus (9) period-correct full-size photostat copies of others. Together with: larger archive for the working title "Space TV" for revamp and redesign of show's general concept, primarily to include "Robot", as well as much more attention to spacecraft like "Jupiter II" which replaces the earlier "Gemini 12" incarnation, and a variety of other technology. Comprised of (80+) pencil, marker and India ink manuscript original designs on vellum tissue and hand-detailed blueprint paper, dated 05/1965 to 08/1965, including specifics for "Chariot", "Int. Spaceship Upper/ Lower Deck", "Frozen Crash Miniature", "Campsite", "Spaceship Miniature", and most important, no less than (10) of these manuscript sketch designs are of the Robot, many in full-scale renderings, which detail the various elements that represent the majority of the indelible and wildly iconic "B-9" Robot. Also includes (6) blueprint and brownline transfers of some, plus (7) period-correct full-size photostat copies of others. Size of the various renderings and substrates ranges throughout from 36" x 18" to 36" x 76". Nearly all present themselves as unopened and unhandled since being archived post-production in the 1960s, though generally exhibit aging from storage. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
