Guy Williams "Prof. John Robinson" Spacesuit and Helmet from Pilot Episode of Lost in Space (CBS-TV, 1965-1968). Vintage original (3) piece Spacesuit including (1) Space helmet constructed of fiberglass shell with aluminum-framed clear plastic domed retractable visor, swiveling side antenna turrets and black rubber gasket around visor, (1) diamond-quilted red vest with front black plastic tech-plate with 3-knobs, integral fiberglass collar and soft sculptured piping for seating of the helmet, black padded piping at side openings, blue web belt with lobster clasps and fasteners at waist, and (1) hollow cast 11.5" 16" x 4" fiberglass life-support backpack attached to vest by lobster clasps to embedded hooks. Mounted on a custom mannequin torso display and base, the suit and helmet measure 32". tall x 17" wide at the shoulder, 45" tall on wooden base. Iconic spacesuit and helmet worn by Guy Williams as "Prof. John Robinson" in the Lost in Space pilot Episode: "The Reluctant Stowaway" when Williams performs his space walk to repair the NGS scanner, and used throughout the series during John Robinson's space walks. A rare and instantly recognizable piece of wardrobe from this cult classic TV series. Exhibiting age, production wear and minor deterioration. Helmet has been relined with fresh foam. The diamond-pattern tufted front of the vest retains the stitching pattern, although the filling has deteriorated. Tufting on the back remains more defined. In vintage Good to Very Good condition.
