This is an original patch like those used on the Spindrift crew's uniforms. Notice however that the white lines on the upper half have been blacked out with a pen. Irwin Allen also used these patches in The Time Tunnel episode "One Way to the Moon" and the Lost in Space episode "Collision of the Planets". These same patches were also featured in the James Coburn movie Our Man Flint and the white areas were blacked out for the movie.
