Original Concept Artwork (2) of the Crew of "Spindrift" from Land of the Giants (Irwin Allen Productions, 1968-1970). Vintage original concept art from The Land of the Giants in oil paint with varnish, measuring 20" x 30", indented to 17-¾" x 26" on 4-ply artist board, glue tipped to a mat measuring 23" x 32-¼" and hinged with transparent mylar overlay. The pre-production artwork depicts the crew in the cockpit of "Spindrift." A second artwork depicts the crew striking camp on an alien planet in oil paint, tempera, and graphite with varnish, indented with masking to 17-½" x 26-¾", measuring 20" x 30" on 4-ply artist board, glue tipped to a mat measuring 22-½"x 32-¼," and hinged with transparent mylar overlay. Actual artwork reproduced on pp. 298-301 of "The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen" by Jeff Bond, Creature Features 2019. Fine+, with mounting holes at the margins and a closed chip at the left; and Fine/Very Fine, with mounting holes at the margins and smudges at the left margin and masking. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
