The item is housed in a box labeled "Sci-Fi Metropolis 18" Jupiter 2 Prototype." The company Sci-Fi Metropolis produced 4' and 24" Jupiter 2 models. This prototype may never have gone into mass production.
Kevin Burns, Executive Producer of Netflix's Lost in Space reboot (Netflix, 2018-21), developer of several other Lost in Space projects with Synthesis Entertainment, and a friend of the original series cast, was responsible for the development and production of a lot of contemporary merchandising related to Irwin Allen's classic projects.
