An original matted gouache on board pitch painting from the development of Irwin Allen's proposed series Safari, which was never produced. The piece depicts a big game hunter pursuing a lion. Safari was one of three projects Allen pitched to CBS in 1967. In The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen (Creature Features, 2019), Jeff Bond writes "Big game hunter Richard Hamilton and his companion Yogi Britton operated 'Safari Ltd.,' and the pair loan themselves out for hire for different adventures every week.
