Land of the Giants Concept Art

Original Concept Artwork (2) of Gary Conway as "Steve Burton" and Deanna Lund as "Valerie Scott" from the Pilot Episode "The Crash" from Land of the Giants (Irwin Allen Productions, 1968-1970). Vintage original concept art from The Land of the Giants in oil paint with varnish, measuring 20" x 30", indented with 1-½" border of masking to 17-¼" x 26-½" on 4-ply artist board, glue tipped to a mat measuring 24" x 32-¼" and hinged with transparent mylar overlay. The pre-production artwork depicts Steve Burton and Valerie Scott imprisoned in a glass beaker being manhandled by a scientist giant from Season 1, Episode 1, "The Crash." A second artwork in oil paint, tempera, and graphite with varnish, measuring 20" x 30" on 4-ply artist board, glue tipped to a mat measuring 24" x 32-¼" and hinged with transparent mylar overlay, depicts Steve Burton and Valerie Scott imprisoned in a glass beaker being threatened under the baleful watch of the bearded giant. Actual artwork reproduced on p. 301 of "The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen" by Jeff Bond, Creature Features 2019. Fine, with mounting holes and cropping lines; and Very Fine, with mounting holes at the margins. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
