WILLIAM J. CREBER

Production Designer William J. Creber

Art director and production designer William (Bill) J. Creber died on 7th March 2019, aged 87. He was a very influential art director on the set of many of Irwin Allen's productions including Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Lost in Space pilot, The Time Tunnel, The Poseidon Adventure and The Towering Inferno. Bill Creber was nominated for an Emmy for Individual Achievements in Art Direction and Allied Crafts for Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Art Director for both The Poseidon Adventure and The Towering Inferno. In 2003, he appeared in the British Channel 4 documentary Fire In The Sky, Hell Under Water.
